Lily of the Valley, Convallaria majalis, is the flower representing the month of May. It is a perennial flowering plant in the lily family, Liliaceae. It is native to Eurasia and eastern North America and is grown worldwide in gardens in warm and temperate zones. The plants develop two or three shiny leaves and a graceful, one-sided group of fragrant bell-shaped flowers, white to pink in color.
